We spent thanksgiving in our glamper’s at Manatee Hammock in Titusville Florida. A few arrived the Friday before and the others trickled in throughout the day Wednesday, the day before our big feast. Weather was great, nice and cool which made it perfect for sitting around the fire nightly, and playing card games.
Everyone gathered on one site for our big feast. We cooked a turkey in an electric roaster outside under the awning, we had ham, mashed potatoes, corn souffle, green bean casserole, pepperoni stuffing, broccoli salad, homemade cranberry sauce, and many other delicious sides, plus desserts. To drink we had out signature cocktail “Glamping Goombays.” We had leftovers Friday night and Saturday night we combined everything making a turkey pot pie casserole.
Saturday several of us went hiking around at Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, where we saw several different birds, alligators, turtles and other wildlife. Others went to the Daytona Turkey Run Car Show. Some went antique shopping and some just relaxed.
